2-27-26    THOUGHTS      

We in the flesh know the limits of time quite well.  Isa 55:8-9   "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD.  9  "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.”  This is the God who will surprisingly change this whole system we live in again to His liking.  We are left with an important and vital question...  “11  Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness?”

2Pet 3:8-11   But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.  9  The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.  10  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.  11  Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

Our Prayer:
Remind us continually of Your own glorious nature, that we might stand in awe and serve with powerful joy.   Lord God, help us to strive for holy conduct and goodness as we wait on You, the most high and only true and living God.  By Your promise, we look  for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.  We praise and exalt You in the name of Jesus,    Amen.
